I would like to thank Mr. Bolton and all others involved in this excellent site. I was TDY’d to the atoll from July to Dec. 1979 with duties in the Tech Supply. We were quite busy classifying and shipping repair parts as the line companies stood down. Every once in a while the Air Force NBC guys would come in and tell us equipment that had been sitting in our warehouse was hot. That stuff ended up in the lagoon. I’ve wondered how much of the stuff we shipped back to Hawaii was radioactive.
